How to fix the problem cause the SQL Server 2005 unable to sart because of Log file fnphysic_pnu_log.LDF error

Hi have a windows 2008 enterprise installation with plesk control panel wich has had all of the components installaed by plesk that one of them is SQL server 2005

LAst Day I reboot the server and after booting the windows I noticed that the SQL server 2005 cant start.I attempted to restart but it couldn’t start.
I checked the services in SQL server Configuration Manager properties and noticed that both sql sever Browser and SQL SERVER(MSSQLSERVER) are stopped
I attempted to restart SQL server Browser and luckily it restarted without any problem
but the attempt to restart the sql server service was result-in failure

I check the logs and noticed this error

Error:   Unable to open the physical file "C:\Program Files\Parallels\Plesk\Databases\MSSQL\MSSQL.1\MSSQL\DATA\fnphysic_pnu.mdf". Operating system error 5: "5(Access is denied.)". Unable to open the physical file "C:\Program Files\Parallels\Plesk\Databases\MSSQL\MSSQL.1\MSSQL\DATA\fnphysic_pnu_log.LDF". Operating system error 5: "5(Access is denied.)". Cannot open user default database. Login failed. Login failed for user 'behzad'. File activation failure. The physical file name "C:\Program Files\Parallels\Plesk\Databases\MSSQL\MSSQL.1\MSSQL\DATA\fnphysic_pnu_log.LDF" may be incorrect.

I find out that the reason SQL erver cant start is it can not read and write the log file located here
C:\Program Files\Parallels\Plesk\Databases\MSSQL\MSSQL.1\MSSQL\DATA\fnphysic_pnu_log.LDF
AN Idea came into my mind that it may because of some ermission conffilict may have came into the the log file named fnphysic_pnu_log.LDF

as I didn’t really know what correct permission should be assigned to this log file and maybe it has been corrupted I decided to move that to other directory and attempt to restart SQL server again and have this file on elsewhere for backup purpose
Unbelievably MS SQL SERVER 2005 could be restarted without any problems and creted its own log file.

I offer you if you have faced the same problem to try the same work I done that way it may fix your problem easily

Hi,
I understand your concern
Microsoft products are so much resource intensive and not stylish
I normally use linux Centos for my hosting purpose and use windows the time there is no other way that the user wants to execute ASP.NET and MS SQL

so now could you be able to solve your problem
did you have the same problem I mentioned in this post?

I’ll be happy to assist :)
Thanks
